LittleVoice · Your family’s information

Terms of Service

Published October 12, 2026 · English

Website edition: October 12, 2026, based on app policy version 2026-10-11-1, with current Plus availability. Your account keeps the version and date of the terms you accepted.

LittleVoice is operated by BNS Development Inc., 35 Woodstock Road SW, Calgary, Alberta T2W 5V8, Canada. Contact us at info@bnsdevelopments.com or +1 403-269-1755.

These Terms govern your use of the LittleVoice website, mobile application, connected-device software and family voice-message service. “We,” “us” and “our” mean BNS Development Inc. “You” means the adult accepting these Terms. Any device purchase is also subject to the purchase, delivery, returns and warranty information presented before that order is placed.

LittleVoice sends recorded messages. It cannot call 911, make live calls, monitor a child or provide emergency assistance. A delivery or listened status does not prove that a person is safe or has understood a message.

1. Adult accounts and children

You must be at least 18 and have reached the age of majority where you live to open an app account. Children use the device through an authorized adult's household; they do not agree to these Terms or create their own app accounts.

If you activate a child profile, you must be that child's parent or legal guardian, have authority to authorize the child's use and data processing, and complete our parent-notice and verification process. A family invitation, device purchase or email sign-in alone does not establish that authority. You must comply with applicable custody orders and restrictions. Tell us promptly if your authority changes or a device or account is being used without authorization.

We may request proportionate verification or temporarily restrict affected features while resolving an authority or safety concern. We do not decide custody disputes. Nothing in these Terms waives a child's rights or prevents another legally authorized person from exercising applicable rights.

2. Your account and family circle

Give accurate account information and protect your email account, login codes, phone and device. Do not share your adult account. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for your own conduct and reasonable account precautions; you are not automatically responsible for every act committed through a compromised account.

Parents control invitations and contact approvals. An invited adult must sign in, accept the invitation and receive parent approval before messaging. Invite only people you know and trust. Approval is not a background check or a guarantee of safe conduct.

Keep the contact list current. Use contact removal and account controls if someone should no longer participate. Do not use another person's invitation, impersonate a guardian, evade removal or obtain access to another household.

3. How messaging works

LittleVoice uses your internet connection, our service and compatible devices to exchange recorded messages up to three minutes long. Messages may be delayed or unavailable because of connectivity, quiet hours, software updates, processing, power loss or service interruptions. Check the recipient before sending.

Approved adult-to-child messages can be accessible to household administrators and the sending adult. Active household parents and guardians can review both directions of a child's conversations, including messages addressed to another approved adult. Trusted members can access only their own conversations. A parent's review does not mark a message as listened to by its intended recipient. Audio can be heard by people near a speaker, and authorized recipients may save copies.

We check technical audio properties to prepare recordings for playback. This is not a guarantee that messages are appropriate, accurate or free of harmful content. LittleVoice does not provide continuous human monitoring or emergency intervention.

4. Acceptable family use

Use LittleVoice for lawful personal and family communication. Do not:

  • Harass, threaten, exploit, groom or sexually abuse a child or any other person, or share unlawful sexual content.
  • Secretly record others, conduct surveillance, violate a custody restriction or share recordings without the permission or legal authority required in the relevant places.
  • Send unlawful, infringing, deceptive or malicious material; impersonate someone; or use another person's voice to mislead recipients.
  • Sell access to a household, use the service for unsolicited marketing, create bulk automated traffic or use the family archive as general-purpose file storage.
  • Bypass authentication, probe other families' data, interfere with the service or modify a device to defeat access or safety protections. This does not restrict rights that applicable law gives you or responsible vulnerability reporting to us.

The Family Rules explain these obligations in simpler language. To report a concern, contact info@bnsdevelopments.com. In an immediate emergency, use a phone to call the appropriate emergency service.

5. Your recordings and our limited permission

You and other rights holders retain ownership of your recordings and other content. Uploading or sending a recording does not transfer ownership to BNS Development Inc.

You give us a non-exclusive, limited permission to receive, store, copy, convert, transmit and make your content available to authorized participants to operate LittleVoice and provide the storage options you select. We may allow contracted service providers to perform these functions for us under appropriate restrictions. This permission applies wherever the disclosed processing occurs and lasts only as needed for those purposes and the disclosed deletion process, subject to legal obligations.

This permission does not authorize advertising use, public publication, voice cloning or general AI-model training. You must have the rights and permissions needed for what you record and send, including for other people whose voices are captured. We remain responsible for our own legal obligations.

6. Privacy and parental consent

Our Privacy Policy explains our practices and the rights of adults and children. The Parent Notice and Consent explains child-specific collection and family sharing. These documents must be available before relevant data is collected.

Agreeing to these Terms does not authorize every possible use of personal information. Marketing and any future optional data uses require their own applicable choices. You may withdraw consent through the process in the Privacy Policy. If processing is necessary for voice messaging, withdrawing it means the affected child can no longer use that feature; optional refusals do not disable unrelated core features.

7. Recording expiry, deletion and downloads

The Recording and Archive Policy explains the applicable deadlines, including the free 30-day history and optional archive trial. The app shows recording expiry and archive dates. Save recordings you want to keep before they expire. A favourite does not independently prevent deletion. Expired or deleted recordings cannot be recovered by upgrading.

Deletion and account closure can remove recordings from more than one participant's history. Removing a contact stops future authorized participation but does not itself erase all past messages. We cannot recall copies independently downloaded by recipients or make a disconnected device erase immediately. These limitations do not remove our duty to perform the deletion and access-control steps within our control.

8. Included service, trials and optional subscriptions

Core app-to-device messaging and replies are included with the device, without a required archive subscription. Internet or mobile-provider charges are your responsibility. “Included” does not promise perpetual operation regardless of product support; the supported-service period disclosed with your purchase applies.

If offered to your account, the optional archive trial requires an explicit adult action. It lasts 14 days, does not require a card and does not automatically charge you. Trial-protected recordings receive the download grace described in the Recording and Archive Policy.

LittleVoice Plus is available as a separate, optional subscription combining WhatsApp messaging and cloud memories. Buying a device does not enrol you. Eligible children can receive a seven-day Plus trial, which requires a card and renews at the displayed local monthly price per child, plus applicable taxes, unless cancelled before the trial ends. The Plus checkout shows the price, currency, taxes, billing frequency, included features, renewal terms and cancellation method before you subscribe. This is separate from the optional 14-day archive trial, which requires no card and never charges or renews automatically. Starting the archive trial does not authorize a Plus subscription. Announced translation features are not part of the current service.

9. Software licence and updates

We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use LittleVoice software on compatible devices for the permitted personal/family purpose while you comply with these Terms. Before transferring or disposing of a device, contact us for the supported removal and data-erasure procedure. Changing its Wi-Fi settings alone does not erase family information. A new household must complete its own setup and consent.

We and our licensors retain rights in our software, designs and branding. Open-source components remain subject to their own licences. Restrictions here do not override rights that applicable law or those licences give you.

Install supported security updates and follow update instructions. Changes to data purposes, contact permissions or billing require the disclosures and choices applicable to those changes; a software update is not blanket permission for new processing.

10. Safety and suitability

Use the device only within its final published age guidance, instructions and operating conditions. A responsible adult must set it up, manage contacts and determine suitable use. Follow the supplied charging, placement, cleaning, volume and damage instructions. Stop using a damaged or overheating device and contact us.

LittleVoice is not a medical device, babysitter, safety alarm or substitute for adult care. Product warnings do not excuse us from applicable safety standards, defect obligations, recalls or mandatory warranties. Follow the instructions supplied with your device. These Terms do not certify a hardware age rating or product-safety approval.

11. Restrictions, suspension and closure

We may restrict the affected activity where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, a material breach, a security incident, credible child-safety concerns or a legal requirement. Use proportionate measures where practicable. We will explain the restriction and how to contact us for review unless doing so would create a safety/security risk or breach the law.

Where practicable, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve a breach before closing an account. Urgent protection may require immediate action. Suspension does not authorize us to keep children's data indefinitely. Applicable deletion rights and legally required refunds remain available.

You may close your account using the app or request assistance at info@bnsdevelopments.com. Before closure, review which household and shared recordings will be deleted. We may separately retain limited records required by law or necessary for a specific, documented legal claim for the periods disclosed in the Privacy Policy.

If we plan to discontinue an important paid or purchase-promised service, we will provide advance notice, a reasonable opportunity to download accessible recordings and any remedy required by law or the purchase terms. Urgent legal or security restrictions may affect the available notice period.

12. Warranties and responsibility

We will provide the service with the care and skill required by applicable law. Beyond our express commitments and mandatory legal guarantees, we do not promise uninterrupted operation, perfect recognition, delivery at a particular time or the preservation of every recording. We are not responsible for the content independently supplied by users merely because the service transmits it; this does not exclude duties the law places on us.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights, warranties, remedies or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This includes applicable consumer guarantees, privacy rights, and liability for death or personal injury where exclusion is prohibited. We do not exclude liability for our fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

These Terms impose no additional monetary cap on liability. Product-defect claims, statutory remedies and other claims remain subject to applicable law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We will identify the version and effective date and give reasonable advance notice of material changes. Changes apply prospectively. Where a change requires new agreement or consent, we will request it before applying the change. Continued use does not substitute for legally required affirmative agreement or parental consent. We will not retroactively shorten an existing paid or recording-retention promise without a lawful basis and the required notice, choices and remedies.

14. Applicable law and resolving concerns

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern, without delaying any legal deadline or restricting your right to seek relief.

Subject to the mandatory law and consumer protections of your place of residence, these Terms are governed by Alberta law and applicable Canadian federal law. You retain any right to bring proceedings in your local courts, use small-claims procedures or complain to regulators. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver or a shortened legal limitation period.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply to the extent permitted by law. We cannot transfer these Terms in a way that reduces mandatory rights or circumvents privacy commitments. Your purchase disclosures and any specifically agreed terms continue to govern their subject matter; mandatory law prevails over any conflicting provision.
